Our teenage patients are always excited to hear that they can have Invisalign® treatment. That’s because Invisalign® for teens is incredibly discreet, comfortable and convenient. This cutting-edge treatment won’t get in the way of their active schedule or social life.

What is Invisalign® for teens?

Invisalign® for teens is very similar to our Invisalign® treatment for adults. It uses a series of custom-made, clear plastic aligners to move the smile into alignment. That means no metal brackets or wires are needed to straighten their smile!

The one difference with teen treatment is that the custom aligners come with blue wear indicators. This helps busy teens remember to wear their aligners for the recommended 22 hours a day. Beyond that, they can remove them for eating, events, and brushing and flossing.

How does Invisalign® for teens work?

During your teen's full orthodontic consultation in Chesterfield, we can use our TRIOS intraoral scanner to make an accurate digital model of their smile. This model will be used to craft their custom treatment programme and aligners.

Each set of aligners is shaped slightly differently to guide your teen’s smile into proper alignment. All your teen has to do is simply switch to a new set of aligners every few weeks as recommended by their Specialist Orthodontist.
