We are Chesterfield’s largest practice wholly devoted to the speciality of Orthodontics. Our team uses cutting-edge technology and exceptional care to transform the smiles of patients from Chesterfield, Sheffield, Mansfield, Matlock and beyond.

Our history

Chesterfield Orthodontics was established in 1995 by Dr Phill Williams, a specialist of over 20 years’ experience. He established an enviable reputation for providing high quality orthodontic treatment in a relaxed and friendly manner.

In 2005, Chesterfield Orthodontics moved to its new premises a stone’s throw from the town centre of Chesterfield. The practice was then acquired in 2019 by two of the region’s most highly-regarded Specialist Orthodontists – Jonathan O’Dwyer and David Tinsley.

Dr O’Dwyer and Dr Tinsley worked at Chesterfield Royal Hospital for the last 20 years and completed their Orthodontic Specialist Training there in 2003. Both have a long commitment to orthodontics in the local area, having worked at the Orthodontic Centre on Ecclesall Road in Sheffield for over 15 years.

Our facilities

Our fantastic team is proud to offer a relaxed and professional environment for providing the best possible care to our patients. When patients visit our practice, they benefit from a cool glassy interior with light, airy waiting rooms and reception area.

More recently, the practice has undergone an extensive renovation program and is now a state-of-the-art orthodontic practice. We have extended our building to add an extra surgery along with increasing the size of the waiting rooms.

Chesterfield Orthodontics offers free onsite parking at the front of the building with disabled parking spaces and wheelchair access available. The treatment rooms are modern and hygienic, and there is air conditioning all throughout for your comfort.

Our aim is always to provide the highest standard of orthodontic treatment with modern appliances and a comfortable environment. We place an emphasis on creating a relaxing and professional service for all those who walk through our doors.

We are a fully computerised practice with the latest and best in digital so processing. Our team also takes your health very seriously. We comply with all the requirements set out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and follow strict sanitation protocols.

Our technology

Here at Chesterfield Orthodontics we use the TRIOS intraoral scanner to create accurate 3D digital images of your smile. This does away with the need for traditional bite moulds, and is much more comfortable, efficient and accurate.
