This is the latest design of fixed appliance, using special “self ligating” brackets. The wire is attached to each bracket with a special spring clip, so that we don’t need to put on the coloured ligating rings that you can see in the previous page. Because the system generates less friction, the teeth move more easily and sometimes quicker than with the classic braces. Each adjustment visit can be  quicker too. This “Smartclip” system is proving to be very popular with our patients who also find it much easier to keep the appliance clean.
